August photos, the 16 thru the 19th.

Posting my photos like this, you are going to see many of the same things more than once. Sometimes even in the same posting!
I hope they are varied enough that you don't get bored with them.

Dragonfly

See him?

This is the first time I saw one of these unusual spiders.
I looked it up. It's a spiny-bellied orb weaver.
More specifically it's a spined micrathena.
Isn't it awesome!
I saw another one since then, so you'll see it again.

Daddy longlegs is the common name, but he has another name, it's harvestmen.
This wasp is a great golden digger wasp and not aggressive.

I don't know, but if I ever find out, I'll let you know

Oh the passionflowers!

I love them and I'm going to plant some on my fence line.

I have no idea if this is a salamander or lizard or skink.
They're kind of all the same kind of critter.

I sent this photo to the ombudsmen
but I haven't heard back yet.
If you know what they are, tell me.

8-15-15 Photos

Grass flowers

Thistle and bug

See? No leaves except the broad ones at the bottom.
These guys are 6 or 7 feet tall.

The first time I saw these twins, but not the last.
They seemed more curious than afraid and I took a lot of photos of them this day.

Having a snack.

Not sure what he's eating but he made short work of it.

 I like dragonflies

I think this is white snakeroot

Haven't found this one yet, but I'll keep looking

Their wings can get quite ragged and they still fly

Got his shadow

Stinkbug maybe?

Once again I find I'm behind on posting photos.
He had pretty red colors.

These are tiny little flowers.

I haven't time to look it up. It's a spider, I know that much!

I always see lots of dragonflies.

Delicate green moth?
Maybe it's a butterfly.

Thistle and bee.

 See him?

Trumpet vine

I even like the grasses

Rose of Sharon.
It comes in white, pink and lavender.

I like this shot too.

Cabin at Two Bit Town

Two Bit Town is closed down now.

There's three of them!

I have nine more days of files to show you plus seven more I haven't even gone through yet!
More to come!
